hey guys i heard rumors about PS3 , my friend said PS3 got hacked and now you can run back up or pirated (or whatever you call it) games. and teh games are only 15$ =O
i just wanna know is it true? cause if its true then PS3 got screwed just like 360.

Why does Sony and Disney have to ruin this Holiday season with their MONOPOLY? I have loved Sony's quality but now am regretting a recent Sony HDTV purchase (and contributionbefore I realized there was an HD format war-stupid me). All of the major movie producers are willing to use a standardized format for HD but Sony wants to corner the HD market now by owning MGM, 20th Century and getting in bed with Disney. This is more dangerous in my mind than when MicroSoft took over the PC market because MS was still producing all content for even Apple computers! If you want to pay inflated prices for HD the rest of your life just go with Blu Ray!!! Disney and Sony can KMA! I'll buy whatever is on HD-DVD and UPCONVERT the rest of my standard DVDs. Don't even answer with COMPARISONS - I already know specs. With multilayering capacity is irrelevant and HD-DVD minimum performance requirements are HIGHER.
This season I'll be watching Transformers in HD, not Pirates of the C. !!!!!!!!!!!

When I try to dial out all I get is static and no ring tone. When the phone is in this state, I can't recieve incoming calls either. When I test the line - (or get BT to do it ) there's a ringing tone and then the BT answer service kicks in. My internet works some time - like now, and not others. When I can make out going calls - the line is terrible - really crackley. I have those micro filter things in both the phone and the BT Home hub. I have used a cordless and normal phone in both the phone sockets in the past and they have worked. Tonight things have come to a head as I can't get a dial tone only static on the corless and the normal doesn't even get a dial tone.

Has anyone got any suggestions? I've been through what it says in the phone book which wasn't much use as my main socket doesn't have a test socket behind the face plate.

Has anyone got any suggestions? If BT come out & find the problem is my hand set I have to pay them £116. I'd be grateful for any suggestions!

So, I have a Minolta SRT101, and my dad just gave it to me...he's had it since it was first made in...the 70s I think. Well, there was film in it, and it's all shot, and I'm trying to take it out. The problem is, is when I go to rewind it, it doesn't rewind smoothly. Can any of you help me? Is my battery dead? Camera broken? Should the power be off? And I also go to try and open it, but it won't open. Help?

Canon Rebels evidently have something inside that goes bad and leaves a gummy type of substance on the shutter curtain. Can safely (and gently) clean it with rubbing alcohol and q-tips? I know that too much pressure will ruin the curtain, but there must be some way.

I am buying a receiver that offers 130 watts per channel but would I have to replace my speakers if there back labels say up to 120 watts at 8 ohms or up to 100 watts at 8 ohms. My 3 front (LCR) speakers all say 120 watts at 8 ohms and my surround speakers say 100 watts at 8 ohms

I hav a JVC GR-D244U, and I was wondering if I can use a regular 4 pin to 6 pin Firewire cable to conncet it to my computer instead of the one made by JVC. The instructions say to make sure that I am using the JVC cable, but is there a chance that any firewire cable would work?

is this, plug in your ipod to pc and then go to the (start menu)button click (my computer) than click on removable disk or the name you named your ipod. and just drag songs in it or if its a video ipod than drag movies and stuff. BUT my question is if i do this and not use any itunes or any other software will that mess up or harm my apple ipod? please help me!

A couple of days ago I updated my PS3 to the latest update, 1.92, since then I can't view most web pages on the net browsr (ebay, amazon etc), it just comes up as a white screen with 'the page cannot be displayed' and 'Network error occured' in the top left hand corner. I can play games online and sign in no problem, what is causing this and what can I do to sort it? Cheers

I used to use CamStudio but since I got a laptop upgrade it won't record from my speakers even if i select 'Record audio from Speakers.' I've tried Audacity but it doens't work either..both of those application record my microphone even if I put it on mute. Do I need a different sound card? I don't know why it won't work!

i got my verizon phone, i go to link it with my computer via bluetooth so i can send some ringtones to it, and then it gives me an error message, i call their customer service, and they explian to me that i can link my phone to my computer but i cannot send files to it because verizon stops you from doing that, WTF would i want to link my phone to my computer for if i cannot send files to it.
i want to send ringtones to my phone and i dam well aint paying 3 bucks a ringtone from verizon's ringtone store. i want to get ringtones on my phone by transfering the files from my computer any body know a way around verizons big scam file transfer block.

my hi-8 video camera fell on the carpeted floor last night and the only thing wrong with it now is the casing is messed up at the top. there are 3 screws near the area were its protruding out. we tried snaping it back into place. it looks like an easy fix but i was wondering if it would be safe enough to unscrew those and snap it back in place. Or should i have a professional do it?

I am trying to decide between a 7.1MP Fuji ($219.99) or a Canon EOS Rebel XT ($699.99)

I wan't something that takes really good pictures, but I don't take a whole lot of photos, so I don't want to spend a fortune.

I can't recall the exact model of the Fuji, so I will post that later today. It has a body-style similar to the Canon, but more compact and without interchangable lenses.

Does anyone know what the size of the sensor in the Fuji is (in mm/inches)?

Looking for details/personal experiences in answers. Thanks!

I am wondering how electronics work. Specifically portable, digital electronics with graphical user interfaces like cell phones, iPods, PSP's and other devices.

How is the interface created for the device?
When you press a button or key, how does it know what to do? For example, when you press a button on a cell phone, how does it know what letter or number to show on the screen, especially when the functions of buttons change for different applications?
