well some of you know with windows blinds you can change the theme of your desktop, log in screens stuff like that.. i had it installed i used a theme but then i deleted it.. i got scared i thought something would happen to my computer or somthing.. because i know with Windows Vista transformation pack accually screws up your computer.. that changes your xp to vista btw.. and anyways i was wondering is windows blinds safe to use?

I want to share picture & document files with friends. Some are too large to break down into emails.I can't figure out how to convert it to or even use the Adobe Reader. On a Dell Laptop, we have had a recurring problem with the Normal.dot template on Word. This problem exists in Word 2000, XP, 2003, and now 2007. The Word Normal template changes to remove the top and bottom margins, starting all lines at the very top edge of the page, and ending at the bottom edge. The vertical ruler is there, but you cannot adjust the margins on it. Even adjusting the margins in the menu won't change it. The reason for this is that the margins haven't really changed, it prints normally. It only appears on the screen messed up. This causes pagination problems, as it adjusts for the margins when you print. I have tried deleting the normal.dot template, but it re-creates it the wrong way. I have tried copying the normal.dot template from several other computers, but it still opens it the wrong way. The only thing that has worked in the past has been to back everything up and run a full restore. I would like to skip this drastic step, suggestions?

I gave my son my old desktop. Somehow he crashed the system (go figure). I can not find the original restore disk for this system, since it is a few years old. Nonetheless, I tried to use my xp home disk to reinstall windows on it. When it came the time to type in the key, I used the key that came with the system on the back of the desktop and it said the key is invalid. How is that possible? Isn't the key associated with the parameters of that machine? Shouldn't it recognize it? Please help me, since my son is driving me crazy without his computer.

How do I get a full page of type instead of the 3/4 page that I get when I copy and paste jokes - documents into MS Word? The format is different from regular MS Word documents. Most items take two pages or so but with patient backspace -space -home - backspace, I can shrink it back to an original one page all the while keeping the font the same. I have tried formatting paragraph - document etc. to no avail. It is almost like the creator hit return too early, help!

The other week i manged to turn off the user log in screenn (welcome screen on my xp home sp2)

only trouble is it's noe come back and it's bloody stuiped as i'm the only user. is there a way to fix so it never returns?

I've tried tabbed browsing but I really disliked it. I usually have like 10 windows open at once, and I find it easy to switch between them using alt-tab. When I tried tabs, I found I still ended up with multiple windows, but also ended up with multiple tabs in different windows. Very confusing. What's so great about tabbed browsing anyway? Can somoene explain? Are there any advantages that I'm missing?
