the programs that automaticaly start when windows boots. they are annoying and they slow the boot down. i know u can configure the actual programs in question but on a few they dont have the option to uncheck the auto start up. can u do it somewhere in windows? thanks

Please help me, I've realized at the zero hour that I'm slideshow illiterate. I just want pictures in a powerpoint to use in a presentation and I thought this was easy to do. When I add pictures, my 8MP images are WAY too big for the frame. When I try the various resizing options, they either don't work, or they only resize the image in the immediate work area. (When I run it as a slideshow, the pics are still huge.) HELP!

I have the Adobe design pro set of programs at my school and I am curious what each one is designed for, so the programs are, illistrator, photoshop, indesign, flash, and dreamweaver, and some flash video encoder....
alright, maybe like just tell me what they were designed to do, and the differences and like an example of each thing...

I have downloaded a pdf print drive, when i first used it the first time, it's better doing it that way, but after printing it in pdf and when i opened it in my adobe reader, on the bottoms of each page it shows a link of the name and the url address on the bottom of each of my pages, is the any pdf print drives that isn't big in MB but don't sow the link of the address on the bottom of each page?

I am trying to load Microsoft Office 2003 on my laptop that has Windows Vista. When I try to load it I get a message that says--->> "Error Exec File. E:\Office11 - Disc 1 Professional :Setup.exe. The Requested Operation requires elevation"

Is there a patch I can download that will allow Office 2003 to run on Vista? Thanks

I use Ad-Aware SE for adware removal. Unfortunatly, my dad who knows nothign about computers managed to click an ad that installed a program called 'Spyshredder' and 'Malware Alarm'. I tried to remove it before usins simple un-install. I've even wrung it through some of my permanant-delete programs, but it's still there.
Does anyone have any info on this and how to get rid of them?

I want to download an MPEG File onto my computer. It is an audio file of a lecture. I have Itunes, Quick Time, and MusicMatch; the typical Windows XP programs.

When I click on the link it either freezes and doesn't respond or it says that there is a problem with a plug in. How can I download this audio file?

I have a spreadsheet, tab 1, whereby cell A1 displays as "account name". if i am positioned in cell A1, and i look at the fx bar, i do not see "account name", like one would think. instead, i see the following formula =detail!a1 this cell is referring to cell A1 in the adjacent tab, tab 2, of the workbook. how did the person who programmmed this do it please?. i need to know because i will need to do this sort of thing from now on, but the person who did it isn't available. thanks!

Does anyone know how to change the default font when I want to insert a comment into a cell? The font for the individual cells happens to be arial10, but the default font whenever I want to insert a comment seems to be "Tahoma 8", which is too small. I'd like to change it to size 10 and if possible to arial. Thanks

ok i have an imac g3 that i upgraded to os x v10.2.8 and on sertain pages it tells me to upgrade it to the latest virson of safari, i clik on the link and safari 3 beta asks me what os i am running and my os isnt a choose can i still upgrade to safari 3 ?

I made an AMV for Bleach, but it is not in the right format to put it on youtube, myspace, or anywhere else. I need to make it into an mpeg or something more compatible. it would not let me save it as anything, but a movie maker file. I currently have a Dell Inspiron E1405 laptop pc, with Windows XP Media Center Edition Service Pack 2. Basically all I want to do is start over from the beginning, like it's a brand new, fresh-out-of-the-box computer. But, here's the thing - I don't have any of the start-up or driver discs that originally came with my computer. Now, with the research I've done thus far, I know that it's nearly impossible to do this without those discs unless buy a Windows Vista Upgrade, which right now I don't want to do. If I could get some help with this it'd be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Okay, um my school has Microsoft Word 2003 and i dont. I have something like WordPerfect. Also, i dont have a printer. Most of my school work i do on note pad, go on a school computer, organize it, then print it. But if i need to do a table, i cant. So im screwed.
