Often you would download it through an iTunes store. Go to the iTunes website and they will give you instructions on how to download music from iTunes.

Currently, each download costs about $1 per music track.

The exponential explosion of MySpace band websites means you can find music tracks to download through a brand new Internet music store, Snopak. Music download costs are almost similar to iTunes...most tracks are 99 cents but some are a little higher and some are a little lower (there are some tracks that are 69 cents!).

But I can't tell you if the download can be copied on a CD. The only thing I can say is if you want the copy one-time without making any changes, use a CD-R to copy. If you want to burn a CD more than one, use a CD-RW.

Hope all of this helps.

Only one I have never had problems with is iTunes. Each track you download is 79p but for me it's worth it. Limewire is free, but it's also illegal, and you are very likely to get a virus. A colleague of mine downloaded a lot of music from limewire, got a virus, her son sorted it out, but told her not to use it for another six months, because all your downloading is tracked by somebody somewhere, and people have been fined and prosecuted etc. So stay honest!

Have you tried limewire? it's free to download and free to get the songs. The only bad side is that most of the songs are illigal but you can still download them. And yes it is possible to get them onto a CD.
