Software - February 2007

I used DVD decrypter to rip the movie of my DVD, then used Super (c) to convert it to an AVI file, but now i need to edit my footage, y'know, get rid of a bit of footage i dont like & move things around, & i also need to put a Mp3 song as the sound track, oh & i need to put a bit of writing on the screen.

Microsoft told me to download the latest video driver from Intel, and now I no longer have the option to run in 256 color mode. Can someone please help me fix this problem? Is it the driver or did I do something wrong? The option (256) is no longer in my display options. Did I uninstall the driver somehow, or is it maybe the wrong one?

I put a password into my new compaq vista computer and it was very long. When I tried to get back in it was locked and I tried to put it in every way I could, but nothing worked. I called Microsoft and they told me I would have to go to somebody's computer to change it, but so far I have not had any luck. Can anybody help me? I really want to use my new computer. Microsoft told me to go to this site - supportmicroft,com and I could do it HELP??????

it opens a blank page though; but if i hit the shortcut a 2nd time it does open it in the 2nd window; or if i click the home icon @ browser bar. it started when i rolled bck frm beta version 2.0, i guess.

My computer xp is running out of memory, I have tried to restore it,but have failed to make any reasonable adjustment to it. I would like to know is there a standard configuration for xp settings & if so. Where can I find a good guide to show me the best settings for XP, Also How can I clean up my drives, without losing some important files.???? I have an excel file that's prepared on a per customer basis. It contains what I'll call customer information (contact name, phone number, email address, etc). Below this informaiton on the same sheet, I have a section that varies in row length based on what items the customer is interested in.

I want to setup about 200+ rows on this sheet that are hidden until I paste customer items into (maybe the first row/cell before) the hidden row range. By pasting, the items spill into the once hidden rows/cells causing a percentage of them to appear...leaving the remaining of the orginally 200 hidden rows hidden.

I have spent lots of time looking for a solution, but maybe i'm not searching for the right thing...

Anyone from the Yahoo! community care to give me some advice?

I want to delete a large selection of text from my Microsoft word text. Usually I would just highlight it, then hit delete or backspace but when I do this it does nothing and unselects itself. I tryed pushing the insert key, see if it was that that was making the problem. It wasn't.

Can anyone help me?

I've got a windows vista computer but i've installed gta vice city and simcity 4. they run fine, except on simcity 4, when i zoom out sometimes the roads go funny and sometimes huge parts of the screen go blank, and also on vice city it sometimes it lags (i've got a gig of ram) which i don't expect and i also get letters and paragraphs flashing on the screen. i can't change the screen resolution. what's wrong? how can i fix it?

Okay i'm sorry for asking so many damn question. My mother board is Asus M2n32-Sli Deluxe and i have a AMD AM2 64x2 4200 processor. Heat sink is a bad heavy one. Zalman tech snp9700 led. My hard drive is seatgate SATA II 500Gb 3.0Gb/s. and a 2GB of ram DDR2 800

My qustion is, i only want to install vista ultimate but which version is the best. I'm confused about 32bit and 64bit. Which of this version is best for my computer. Please help.....i don't want to take the wrong path....

Okay so I downloaded Kazaa and everything. But now when I go to search for music nothing comes up and it says Search finished without any result. So i thought maybe I was to specific so I just searched a famous artist's name and it said the same thing. I'm connected and everything though. The gold one's come up, but nothing else.

I have installed a game on my personal folder

But I did not like it so I decided to have it un-installed

But what the un-installation process did it deleted not only the game folder but my personal folder

I check if the deleted item are in the trash icon, but it is not

Im using windows 2000, is there a command I can use to recover my personal folder

The CDs have capacity of 700MB only and the movies are more than that. Therefore it is not getting saved on the CDs even after compression. Is there some ways to do that?
