you can try unistalling the graphics driver and reinstalling it. they may fix the problem. also with the new vista programs, it is recommended to add memory to your computer for better perfomance. if you continue to have problems you can contact the manufacturer of your computer and they have technical support to help you that is free. you can also ask them to send you some more "RAM or memory at little charge if your still in Warranty.

You might try to purchase a USB 2GB jump drive, and when you plug the USB in vista will ask how to use, pick the ram boast mode, this will give you a total of 3GB ram and the games should run much better. These USB pens cost between $25-50 bucks depending on where you purchase the item.

You can leave the USB plugged into the usb on your computer for extra fast memory to use for all you needs, however, if you are using it for ram boast it will not be availible for storage of files, music or pictures for that pen.

Good Luck,

You should invest in a graphics card, it will help vista run smoother, and your games run better. The built in graphics is having a hard time processing some of the visual stuff........ Most of all, vista has tons of issues with software and driver support at the moment.....But I think with even a $40 $60 graphics card you will see a huge difference.......this way its not using "sharing" your system ram, plus graphics cards run several times faster than your system ram, which makes the graphics alot better.....
Make sure the graphics card is vista compatible!

Vista is what's wrong. I can't beleive you didn't check out the web for what's wrong with Vista.
Here's a start...
1) Third party drivers/applications are not allowed unless “approved” by Microsoft. Some of your favorite software won't run on Vista because the drivers have not been "approved" by Microsoft. This also means that the digital camera you just bought may not be "allowed" to connect to the PC.
2) ALL media copied thru Vista is SERIOUSLY degraded. The mp3s that you rip, are not allowed to be full quality. Same with DVD's.
3) Takes up too much resources.
Personally, if XP ever goes out of support, I'm going Linux

Microsoft Vista has lots of compatibility issues with games. Other than looking for an updated driver for your video card, there's little you can do.

The biggest hit on your system is going to be the graphics card.

While built in gfx cards work for normal usage, they are not that good with Games.

just the usual graphics driver needed and as usual another version of windows full of incompatibility's with previous version drivers. are you surprised. happens every time with each new version of windows. and as usual you will just have to play the waiting game. till they are ironed out with SERVICE PACK 1,2, or however many it takes to fix the dam thing. I'll stick with WIN XP. PROFESSIONAL. till he stops supporting it.
