Can anyone tell me how to get back into my new vista computer after forgetting my password.?

I put a password into my new compaq vista computer and it was very long. When I tried to get back in it was locked and I tried to put it in every way I could, but nothing worked. I called Microsoft and they told me I would have to go to somebody's computer to change it, but so far I have not had any luck. Can anybody help me? I really want to use my new computer. Microsoft told me to go to this site - supportmicroft,com and I could do it HELP??????

Unless you have information you NEED on your vista computer reinstalling the OS will be your best bet.

If not, calling local repair shops is next.
