Software - December 2006

I had limewire, but it says connecting, and it never does. So I tried Frostwire, BearShare, Kazaa, and a bunch of others. All of them said connecting, but they never do. It's not my firewall. Any suggestions of what I could try, and that actually works? For free, cause I don't want to pay for it even though I know it's illegal, I don't care. I got my nephew a mp3 player for Christmas and I want to put music on it for him before Christmas.

I have read the answers you gave regarding the read only, however, when I attempt uncheck the read only box, it will not let me do so. I'm out of ideas, so any help will be appreciated.

I downloaded WeatherMan by TPA Software. I donated $15 so that I can get the professional version of WeatherMan...the problem is that I can not for the life of me get a reply back for any of the many emails that I have sent them asking for a serial or something so that I can use the professional version. Does anyone know how I can get the professional version since they will obviously not help me?

I like to find a free video converter that can convert IFO files to WMV or to a file that can be used on DVD players. I think IFO is suitable for DVD players so a converter that can convert WMV to IFO would be suitable, can you please help me?

i downloaded both free versions of these products now my time limit has run out and they wont leave me alone with pop-ups, also i believe a hacker has gone onto my computer and deleted files i needed to uninstall t hese programs so i cant install my new virus protection...if anyone knows of a site i can visit or a program i can get free to help me uninstall norton and ad-ware se personal that wud b awesome tha nks

Spurred by another question, I've just realised I cannot format negative numbers to be in brackets - the option's just not there. I'm sure it was in Excel 2000. I know HOW to do it, it's just that it appears no longer to be possible. Is it just me, or is this one of the "Improvements" in 2003?

I need it to be free (could be a good demo), virus-free (of course), and administrator privilege by-passable (they're out there, some hand written programs and unzip stuff work around it, and some programs do, some don't)
