A blank box pops up with a picture of a yellow triangle-ish thing and an exclamation point in it and the top bar simply says "program error" and the only button you can press is blank til you press it, and then it says "cancel." There is no X button. After you press the blank button it closes the program you had up.
This happens in three different places:
-Internet explorer when I open certain pop ups (not the "bad" kind of pop up).
-When I click reply in Outlook Express.
-At random times while I have Picture Project up..the program begins getting very slow and then it happens.
This message only closes the program it came from, nothing else, but of course it's still very annoying. It didn't start happening til I got Picture Project, but it took a while to begin happening in the other programs I mentioned. Also, the pop up one doesn't happen in Mozilla Firefox.

I have just MOVED my whole iTunes folder (including "iTunes Music", "iTunes Music Database File" / "iTunes Library") onto my new external hard drive.
Now my iTunes software on my PC shows up completely empty, with no songs, no podcasts and no playlists.
My aim was to get my music onto an external hard drive to free up space on my PC, but keep the iTunes software on it and run it with the music on the ext.hdd.

I have tried the following:
- Opening the iTunes Music Database File from on my ext.hdd... it opens a blank iTunes, even though the file is 4,388KB.
- Going onto iTunes Preferences and changing the iTunes Music Folder location to the address of my ext.hdd... this did not allow me to select the library database or add any files to the program.
- Dragging and dropping my iTunes Music Folder (on the ext.hdd) onto the software... this added all the files but did not include any of the playlists or settings such as equalizers, ratings or play counts etc.
Thanks in advance!

For some reason all the objects and text want to group together as I add them into my page. Going into "ungroup" doesn't help as it doesn't recognize them as being grouped. Do I need to re-install CorelDraw or is there a fix I don't know about?

I recently bought a new computer, and bought the most recent version of Norton's Antivirus for that computer. I also have an older computer that runs Norton's Antivirus 2003.

Could Norton's be installed on the older computer? If so, how does the subscription for LiveUpdate "work" with both computers, especially once the subscription needs to be renewed?

Also, if the newest Norton's can be installed on the older computer, do I need to uninstall Norton's Antivirus 2003 first, or would the newest version automatically uninstall it?

I know that, generally, you can install programs on multiple home computers, but I just don't know how LiveUpdate would "react" to this.

Cyberlink Power DVD6 was provided pre-installed on my computer and i have used it to watch dvd's. I'm currently getting a message saying, "This dvd player has been fixed to Region 1. Only those discs that support this region can be played." There is an error code which is, 8090000F.

Is there anyway i can reverse this to enable region 2 discs to be played?

Thanks for any help.

Ok, please read the entire question before answering.

I have a system that I am "donating" to another family member, I have had a lot of personal stuff on the system and I would like to do a low level format to it, and reinstall the operating system, which again was windows xp PRO.

I have somehow misplaced my windows xp PRO cd, but I do have a valid license (yes, an actual license that I DID pay for) so my question is, if I just have a friend burn me a copy of his windows xp PRO cd could I do the low level format and reinstall the operating system? Or is my product key ALSO valid for the home edition, because I actually DO have a cd available for it (basically I would be using the windows XP PRO license on a windows xp HOME version).

Thanks for your time, any person that does not answer the question will be reported.

All the posts about AVG virus scan not being free after Jan. 07 are BOGUS!! What people are getting the notification of is that the CURRENT version (7.1) will not be supported after the 7th. You can still download the NEW Free version (7.5) - it will still be free!!

I unfortunately have Windows XP Home on all my computers and I want to purchase and use Quickbooks Pro 2007. The product specs say it is compatible but not recommended...are there any potential problems? What could go wrong with the software if I use it on XP Home? Why isn't it 'recommended'? Thank you.

I sent it to the recycle bin.
I didn't realize it was a system file.
When I try to boot it says ntldr missing.
I can't start it at all.
I only deleted it.
I never purged the recycle bin.
Is there a program that can be run in dos that will restore this file.
I don't have the windows 2000 o/s disc.
Isn't there some way to restore it from outside of windows.
I could cry, 2 days till Christmas and I screwed it up.

This is driving me crazy. It says it requires X11. Ok, fine, so I try to run the program and is says "Please install X11". So I went to apple.com and downloaded the X11User.dmg file, but it won't let me install it because it says a newer version already exists on my hard drive. So how can I install it if it won't let me, but it requires something that is says I already have?! I refuse to use MS office but this is really making me mad. Any ideas?
