That is a Norton Antivirus error. You need to turn off the Office plug-in. Try this: (it may not be exact depending on your version of Norton, but it should be close)

1. In Norton click Options
2. In the section title Other click Miscellaneous
3. In the center you'll find Enable Office Plug-in
4. Remove the tick to disable it

That error is related to Norton Antivirus. Update all your Antivirus definitions and then run a complete scan on your system. If NAV is able to straighten out the issue, great. If not, call Norton (Symantec) to find out what to do.

If you no longer have access to Norton updates because your subscvription has lapsed, I recommend renewing the subscription and proceeding as above. Otherwise you might look for some freeware antivirus, disconnect from the internet, uninstall NAV, install the freeware antivirus, and see if it can help.
