Try using System Restore. Go to Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools>System Restore. Restore the system back to a point before your installation. Bear in mind that any programmes you've installed since the date you restore to will be lost.

Before then, be sure to have tried using Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs.

The only free version of Norton has a definite time limit, but Ad-Aware SE Personal is free for home use, and there is no time limit. They do two different things, so why do you want to get rid of Ad-Aware? It is not antivirus, it is spyware, and one of the most valuable programs you can run on your computer.

But, if you are determined to uninstall them, here's how: Click on Start, Settings, Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs and the show updates box at the top. when the list loads, find Norton and everything thing connected with it (there may be more than one norton). Click on the right side to remove them one by one. Then find Ad-Aware and click to remove it. Close control panel and restart the computer. Your antivirus and spyware programs are now gone, and I hope for your sake, you get something back on your computer before you get a virus or spyware.

I suggest that you try to carryout system restore to a day previous to the day when there was no virus or date of installation of the virus programs. It may be a few weeks or months back. You have to decide the date. Detailed instructions are posted at http://fixit.in/systemrestore.html
The problem is likely to be solved. Then,You insatll a standard antivirus soft ware such as Norton, AVG , Avast ( free antivirus software and Ad-aware, Ewido ( free spyware removers). You can download free softwares at
http://fixit.in/antivirus.html and http://fixit.in/spywareremover.html
