I mean, I can highlight a bunch of links, then right click and open them all somhow

Mouse gestures has a gesture that allows you to open multiple links if they're listed in a column. It's like a right-side square bracket maneuver --- easy to do with a mouse, a little harder with a touch-pad.

For links that aren't in a column (like side-by-side), you can open them easily with an upward gesture over each link.

Gestures use a right-click-and-hold.

If you bookmark the links you want opened at once together in their own bookmark folder then the option to "Open in Tabs" is available to you. If you select it then all the URLs will open at once.

You mean tabbed browsing? I believe the the newest version of FF has tabbed browsing built in.
