Upon dragging a track to another number on the list it jumps back to it's original place.

i-tunes 7.0.2 is a cool thing to have ,
you cannot change the position of the track jst by dragging it , what you can do is by pressing command + i in a macbook , or by pressing get info link on the song , you could change the track number , and if that doesnt help make another playlist .
or you could sort your songs by artist , by album , by size , by time , by rating.

You can't change the order by dragging in a playlist. You can in Party shuffle.

What determines the track number is the tag for the number (Track #). You can edit this by right clicking on the track and using "Get info".

You can sort by track number by clicking the "Track #" column. If you don't see this, right-click on one of the column names and check "Track #". When the column appears, select it.

first click on the track you want to drag to other track.keep right clich and drag it to the requiter track place
