I downloaded WeatherMan by TPA Software. I donated $15 so that I can get the professional version of WeatherMan...the problem is that I can not for the life of me get a reply back for any of the many emails that I have sent them asking for a serial or something so that I can use the professional version. Does anyone know how I can get the professional version since they will obviously not help me?

It sounds to me like you may very well have been "ripped off" here. "WeatherMan" from TPA Software is a "freeware" program and the last "update" for this program was way back in November of 2005.

I just looked through the entire site and the program's author makes a somewhat "vague" claim that he/she will provide a "pro version" if you provide a "donation."

However, I just Googled the exact terms "WeatherMan professional version" as well as "WeatherMan pro version" (with quotes) and received ZERO search entry results.

This is NOT a very good sign I'm afraid... :(

Bad Sign No. 2: Also a BIG negative here is that the site claims: All sales of their products are final. No refunds will be issued, guaranteed or promised.

And there is specific NO e-mail "support" or "help" address given - only "registration-related" emails are given on the TPA site. (Reputable websites ALWAYS list their e-mail "support" and "payment" email addresses separately and clearly on their sites)

Bad Sign No. 3: The "Late or Lost Registration Numbers" webpage http://www.tpasoft.com/policies.html gives a laundry list of reasons (mostly blaming YOU the consumer) for why many registrations are LOST or NEVER RECIEVED by those who donated or paid for their shareware products.

Bad Sign No. 4: The so-called "Testimonials Page" contains ALL "great reviews" but no dates provided for each review and no way to contact the reviewers. They all look like they were written by the developers mother or something. And "The Guestbook Page" is a 404 Error Page.

In any case; here is the TPA Software registration/mailing address listed on the TPA site is:

C. Kevin Provance
8466 N.Lockwood Ridge Rd.
PMB #326
Sarasota, Florida 34243

e-mail address:
kevin@tpasoft.com

According to that home webpage; you should include all information below:

Your full name | The name of the TPA program in question.
AOL or AIM MASTER screen name with which you registered the program. | Version number of the TPA product you are using
Serial number of the TPA program you are using
