DVD shrink encountered an error and cannot continue.
Failed to read file "D:\"
The request could not be performed because of an I/O error.

I went to open disk and then to Backup files and that usually works to copy the files and then it prompts me to put in a blank disk. And this isn't the error I have seen due to the disk being protected. Yes, it is a rented movie. I know, i know. I'm just looking for an answer here, not comments of legality. Thanks!

i have a HP Pavilion laptop with a CD burner. i am attempting to burn a CD with Sonic DigitalMedia Plus v7. Everytime i try to burn the CD i get a message saying "There was a problem writing to the disc. You can try again by clicking the Retry button. You will need another blank disc ready." The "Advanced message says:

I know there are many type of Internet Security program available today. But, they use too much RAM (high RAM consumption). My computer cannot afford. I had collected some Internet Security information, need review from other.

Information I collected are as below:
1. Norton Internet Security 2007 (high RAM consumption)
2. AVG Internet Security 7.5 (medium RAM consumption)
3. NOD32 (low RAM consumption)
4. TrendMicro PC-Cillin Internet Security 2007 (unknown RAM consumption)

Everytime I click on a song to download off morpheus it takes me to amazon website and it hightlights the song in red and says it is not downloadable or something. This just started happening in the past couple days. I have lots off stuff on my computer to keep me from spyware and viruses and we check and scan or computer twice a day for things like that. Any idea's as to what may be causing it. Could it be someting I downloaded to protect my computer causing it to not let me download the songs?

Dont answer without reading the whole question.

I have itunes 7, i just imported about 100 songs onto it, but i cant sync them onto the mp3 player i have with that program, i have to do it from windows media.

i clicked the "add to library" button in windows media, told it to add all the new songs on my computer to the library (the ones i just imported to itunes), it found all the songs I imported, and said they were sucessfully added to the windows media library.

The problem is, therye not there. Anywhere, i cant find them. I tried it again, i restarted the program, i looked in everything playlist and option availble, i tried adding to the library in different ways.,. but nothing new is in my windows media library.

WHY?!

How do i get them to show in the library? Are they not supported by this program? What the heck?

I have downloaded couple of softwares but they either only limit to converting 20 MB of video file or convert only 60% of the total video file. i need to find some freeware which does the conversion 100% for big files such as a movie.

My last question is the same, the only problem is, I got a good answer only I don't understand how to get the program. Someone said, "use the system restore point feature which comes with windows xp operating system, the restore points allow you to go to a specific date on your computer, if you go to a date before you emptied your bin you should be able to restore your files "

How do I use the system restore points?
Or are there any other programs to get back the files, I removed them to my recyle bin and then I emptied it by accident, how can I get them back

I have my resume formatted into windows works word processor but once I email it out the people that I email it out to can't open it due to the fact that its in works and not word, or is there another way that I can write my resume where every employer will be able to access it once I email it out????? I'm currently using Windows XP Home. When I open a jpg in IE it opens in "Windows Picture and Fax Viewer". While in this window, if I click on the back button (left arrow) it has all the thumbnails from all the websites I have visited in the past. I have cleared out my History & Cookies in IE and even cleaned out the Temp File... yet the thumbnails are still there. Do I have to delete every pic & thumbnail individualy? I can't seem to find a Program or Folder titled "Windows Picture and Fax Viewer" anywhere on my system.
