i have a HP Pavilion laptop with a CD burner. i am attempting to burn a CD with Sonic DigitalMedia Plus v7. Everytime i try to burn the CD i get a message saying "There was a problem writing to the disc. You can try again by clicking the Retry button. You will need another blank disc ready." The "Advanced message says:

Sense: 03 ASC: 0C ASCQ: 00 (Command 2A)

i've tried using both Imation CD-R's and and Sony CD-R's. Anyone run into this problem? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Ok, so if it's a driver problem, any suggestions on how to correc this? Any and all help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

You would need to check Sonic's website for driver downloads.

You should also try to uninstall digital media plus and reinstall it, if at all possible, and then get the drivers.

If that is not possible, just download the drivers and install them.

Sometimes,,,,, it's just a bad CD. But I agree ,,,yours does sound like a drive problem
