I tried to install system mechanic. During installation process Sytem Mechanic prompt me to uninstall my norton since Sytem Mechanic itself got it own antivirus. I dont want to uninstall norton. What should i do now?

if it is System Mechanic pro ur trying to install that has A antivirus on it if you keep nortons delete System Mechanic pro and just download System Mechanic 6

uninstall your norton to avoid incompatibilities that might end up to something worse,,, like corrupted window system files something like that,, or if you want to guaranty if mechanic can be better than norton,, turn norton off then install mechanic, is you find mechanic much of a use than norton, then you know what to do.

Not familiar with System Mechanic but if it is also an a/v dont even try installing more then one, sometimes you'll get lucky, but most of the time it is just a huge pain in the ***..

Try to Turn off All services of Norton Anti virus, then install if it not works first remove the startup entry for Norton from 'msconfig' '>>reboot>>then try to install SM. after installation recheck the entry for Norton. or restart all services.
