I'm pretty sure my husband's up to no-good. He deletes email as soon as I walk into the room and logs off in light speed. How can I monitor what he's doing? I've heard about software that keeps a record of information sent out and coming in of a specific computer. But he has a computer at work too. Is this spyware? Where can I buy it, how do I use it and will he know? HELP!!!

I use the BT/YAHOO browser with internet explorer 7. The past few days. I have been getting pop-up appearing every few minutes whilst I'm using it. I have the pop-up blocker turned on. I have the adaware program. All my firewalls and virus protection is up to date. Has anybody any idea whats gone wrong. I tried downloading a free pop-up/over blocker. That didnt help either. I am no computor geek, so any help or advice would be most appreciated.

Honestly.. If they know they do it.. don't you think anyone who makes spyware and viruses should be shot?

You know they are still alive somewhere in the world.. don't you want to find them and shoote them?

I have downloaded advast to my computer & it has an access scanner, virus recovery data base & a virus cleaner tool. Is this enough to protect my computer & keep it clean? If not what should I do?

Often when I try to email someone from a website a little box pops up and asks for user id and password. It seems I need to do something to submit them and get approval. Can anyone tell me how? In 1. 2. 3. order because I'm not high in the computer literacy department. Thanks for your help.

The SW10 home page comes up every time we open the connection to the net. This is not our usual home page. This page is not appropriate for our children to see. In addition, it automatically connects to the internet after we have closed our connection. HELP PLEASE!!

I have a usb stick on which i keep secure files with passwords but many times i might need to open them in unsecure places. I'm more worried about there being a keylogger on the computer I am currently opening it on.

So I was wondering if there is a stand alone program, which doesn't require installation, which can detect if any keyloggers are running on the system it is on?

Something preferably small which doesn't take up to much space on a flash drive.

thx

My computer won't allow me to log onto or into anything. I can't check email, myspace, or anything. I get pop ups, but if I close them out then the whole internet shuts down, so I have to minimise them. About a month ago, my freind's mom put a virus on our computer and supposedly rebooted the whole computer and "erased" the virus. I'm confussed and fustrated. What can I do?

When my computer recently was attacked by a backdoor virus, I wound up installing SUPERAntispyware and AVGAntiSpyware, plus my previous Ad-Aware. Does having this many decrease efficiency? AVG was the one that finally caught the virus, SUPER got some that Ad-Aware didn't, and besides all that, my Kaspersky license key is up and if I renew it that might be better than the others or it might not, so any suggestions?

Heh, i'm not paranoid, much. :P

I have a .co.uk domain and a few weeks ago I opted out of the WHOIS database, so my address is now not displayed in a WHOIS lookup.

I'm worried that there might still be a way for a public user to obtain my address through this service, or by another which might reveal it.

Would this be possible, as my previously recorded address could be on file? Or would my address be completely eradicated from the database never to be seen again?

Thank you :o)

I understand that programmers don't create viruses for Macs, I get that. I was wondering how universal that statement is. For example, if I was using P2P (peer to peer) software such as LimeWire, are my risks for getting a virus the same, reduced, or greater than if I was using a microsoft/windows based computer?

I really would like to know what the statement really applies to.

Thanks
