If it was an on-line gambling site, the software will be loaded on your computer. The best thing to do in this case is to get the authorities involved. This is well above the grand larceny level and if you give them the computer they may be able to find something. Other than that, you can hire someone to look through the registry to see if she left any traces.

Well that wasn't very nice of her. I'm not sure if you can track if she "cashed" money orders on the computer. That would likely have to be done through the bank. However, if she was gambling on line on the computer, you can easily catch her. Just go into the Search on your start up menu, select "search all files and folders", type "Temporary Internet Files" all computers have this as they need it to run properly. Open this file and that long list of stuff you should see (unless your computer is set to atomically delete them, which I'm assuming not) these files are your Internet "cookies" or tracking files, each file is information from every website that was visited on your computer, including the one your on now. Open some of them up and have a look at where your family have been poking around!! Good Luck straightening out your mess.

Unless you wife has reformated the hard drive, there will probably be some evidence left even if she tried to erase her tracks. If she is not computer savy, you may just want to check the temporary internet files. This will tell you exactly where she's been on the web. If she has used her browser or something else to remove these files, they may still exist on the computer if (like I wrote earlier) she hasn't reformated the HD.

Certainly not looking in History, They are smart enough to delete that.
Look in Registry record, there you will see a trail of all sites visited. Go to Start, Run type in regedit then follow this string
HKEY_CURRENT_USER Software, Microsoft, InternetExplorer, Type URL"s and search in URL
You will see a trail of every website your computer visited. Cannot be hidden from you Unless you got a Geek that knows how to delete and change Registry which is a complicated thing.

Hmmm, check the little icon on the top bar that looks like a sundial and click on it. This will show a history of where anyone has been on the computer unless someone erased it.
