Hi Guys !

I am finally using DAP on my laptop but i am bit concern if its having spyware or other such nasty thing which might phone home.

The website review gives a very vague info about DAP, most webexperts prefer not to use DAP coz of the earlier bad reputation it earned of having spywares. Adware seems to detect the spyware however my AVG 7 is giving a clean chit to DAP, so please let me know if its OK to use DAP on a Personal Laptop.

Thanx for your time.

God Bless.

I bought a computor from a boot sale, but on entering the computer and changing and deleting already entered information, I found that the computer was last owned by a local authority and found that I cannot alter anything or put my copy (legal) of XP onto it as it comes up enter administrator password, when contacted local authority with computor number on side I was informed it came from an office that closed down 12 months ago and could not help me with my enquiry as each office had its seperate IT administrater and could not supply with their name as that person left their employment. PLEASE HELP.

When I logged off last night my computer had no virus. 3 minutes after I logged on this morning I had one. The only thing I did was click the 'allow' box on Yahoo Messenger when someone, who I didn't know, tried to contact me. I read the message then closed the box. Could the virus come in this way?

I have these icons on the bottom tool bar, next to clock, that keep telling me that the PC is infected with malware etc. I have run virus checker etc and I know there is nothing on my PC that shouldnt be and I realise that they are there to get me to buy the software associated with them. How do I get rid of them?

I downloaded something and eventually, pop-ups started to appear from IE now and then. (They don't usually appear). I uninstalled IE 7 and I use Ad-Adware to scan my computer tons of times. I defrag my computer, remove the download and restart my computer many times. It still appears now and then. How should I remove this spyware/virus?

If you send someone an email, is it possible for them to alter the content and make it look like you wrote something that you actually didn't?
