It's almost impossible if you do port forwarding and have a good Firewall.

People who use secure their router with a WEP password, are beind an SPI (denial of service attack) firewall, are using the Windows Firewall, and regularly scan their computer for viruses, spyware, adware, and other malware are less likely to be likely to be attacked than others.

Additionally, using Windows Update to keep the most up-to-date security patches, running Microsoft's Malicious Software Removal Tool and Windows Defender will help protect the computer.

If you are on the Internet your computer is capable of being hacked. It does not matter how good your security is or how many layers their are, their is always someone who is capable of hacking it. Case in point -- the recient cyber attack on the 13 core Internet servers which just reciently happened. They are well protected and people took a couple of those out.

Not if you go into your router and assign a password. This is for wireless connections. They will need the password to get on your network.

Yes. If you secure it, it will deter MOST from entering. But if you don't, you will find yourself locked out.
