I had an AVG trial ver 7.1
I had it for arround 6months. It will expire on 15 Jan 2007.
Requiring me to upgrade to AVG 7.5 that cost $$

So I uninstalled the AVG and purchased NAV 2006. Thought that it s the most popular "most trusted"
It run well, but my system seem to start slower...???
1.5-2 min slower (I am runing on AMD Athlon 1.5 Ghz, 512 mb memory)

Then I ran the full system scan for the 1st time, it ran about 40-60% slower.. compared to my older AVG.
Other thing NAV CAN"T resume scanning after it is stopped

I had NAV 2005 before, it ran out of lisence in 06 so I tried the AVG 7.1 free.
The NAV 2005 seem to perform the at same level with 2006 (only new user interface, that r more friendly, techy and fancy) ??? Are there any improvement really from 05 to 06 ?

Now I wish to return the product, but I had activated it already...
So is it really AVG is better than Norton now..
I need the detailed comparison work..
Or what is the best AV so far..
do u have links

I need to know some websites that let me get past the blocks on computers. Most of the ones I know have already been blocked.
So it would be best if you listed all the ones you know.
Thank you.

Can anyone provide a fool-proof, FREE, solution to removing this? I have already tried so many things and they are all BS. I am not paying for anything so dont suggest something that scans for free and then chages $40 to remove it.

Had to uninstall Norton Security during the week, following a problem with the computer.
Reinserted Norton disc.
It loaded up ok, but would not activate.
Am just left with an egg timer and cant click on activate, although it seems to be working for mail.
Norton site was no help.
Any suggestions?
Have already uninstalled and installed a few times to try to correct problem.
Also, what free security is best to use while Norton is out of action?
Windows Defender?

Hi guys, I have not had a problem with popups before but I think someone here has introduced something into my computer that is allowing them through. I have a firewall and virus protection and both are functioning, I also keep continually getting a message that I have a virus called win32clspring.FQ and no matter howmany times I deal with it the darn thing keeps popping up. Is there a way I can find out which files have the virus sitting in my computer so I can delete them? My virus check comes up clean. Thanks guys, Marty

which is a virus description, and which is an operating system file name? (Isass.exe) Is the first letter a capital "i" or a short "L"?
(Symantic says is one of many virus name variables; other sources say this is a legit Windows filename).
