is you deleted history, is it still on your computer? and if it is, how do i get it out for good?

The only permanent way to delete is to reformat the harddrive from the DOS prompt and reinstall windows. Also, like the other gal said.... it will get over written in time.... a long time.

Just clearing now will make it fairly hard for any normal person to retrieve.... unless they are a forensic computer scientist.

1)Open Internet Explorer

2)Press Ctrl+H

3)Start deleting the weeks or days and delete Today only in the last.

4)Then select Tools ->Internet Options

5)In the General Tab, under the History settings change the Number of days to keep history to '0',so that the next day you restart your computer there is no HISTORY.

Deleting your history will only keep computer-illiterate parents from seeing where you have browsed.

A computer-savvy person can find out in a minute!

Even if you delete history it will still be on your hard drive, until other files are saved over it, which can take quite a while.

you can always run ccleaner to remove all unwanted history, delete tempoary files just like you were using disk cleaner.Check it out at ccleaner and the c stands for crap.

yes it is still on your computer. you may have cleaned out your computer. but it can still be tracked. meaning if you look at porn for instance, the fbi can track every single site you looked at.
