No. You have an Online Protection Package that is included with it. The OPP is by Computer Associates and is very good.

You can access the Online protection package a couple of easy ways.

If you use the My Yahoo Homepage, you can scroll to the bottom right and use the Download link. This will take you to the AT&T or SBC Software site. Select the Online Protection Icon. You can allow it to download and install all the site recommends you need or select the ones you want.

You can also access it by going to the My Account link at the top center of any Yahoo page and then sign in with your Password. Select the My Services tab and then select the Online Protection Package Icon.

No, norton antivirus is not free. the virus definitions are free for download for their customers who have purchased their product.
