It keeps 10. The current website or location where you are, and 9 previous. As you move to another website, the oldest drops off. So if you move around a lot, and we do here in Answers, the back button stays busy! Good question!

You can find out by clicking on the tiny little down arrow symbol that should be to the right of your back button, and it will have a menu display pop down with all the locations that it tracks for you. I don't think it keeps all of them even for just one session online, but check it out....
