Everytime I try to open certain programs this error message appears:

"Certain Program" caused an invalid page fault in
module KERNEL32.DLL at 016f:bff7b9a6.

If I re-install it the same thing continues to happen. I have scanned for errors in my registry and fixed most of them but this error doesnt change and my programs arent working.

Someone's hacked into my computer and sends me poetic garbage spam emails with keywords from searches I've done on the Net. To make things worse .. sometimes from keywords of work done offline. When I started checking hacking websites .. this person took note and in the next email talked about 'planting behind the walls'. Probably this person will read this message! Posting my IP address in a search engine I found someone posting in a forum with an identical IP!! Anyway, I connect to the Net through my mobile using a bluetooth on my PC. Firewalls are all up and running, security is tough but someone's made it through. What do I do?

well for one, McAfee and Norton were going to charge me 60 bucks to get a refund for 49.99. Norton, and as far as i could find out, i got 2 worms and about 3 "backdoor-trojans" you know, the ones that open your pc to viruses more trojans and worms. McAfee, screwed me over because of a trojan the it didn't even pick up. so stupid me i opened the file, and you know what happened. i got AVG (free one) and it picked up the trojan that McAfee didn't. after that no more viruses.

all in all, 4 reformats and about 16 hours of hell and alot of bad english speaking customer service agents later. what's the best?

Really, all I'm asking from you is which is better? AVG, Norton, or McAfee?

My mom wants me to transfer some of her files from our old computer onto a disk, and I know that even if something is deleted, it can still be recovered, but that there is special software that can permanently erase things. What should I be looking for to buy at the store or online to do this?

I have Norton (I know, some of you hate Norton..but it's what I paid for and have right now) and I did a scan. It said I have two Trojans- csdtu.exe and dmzwk.exe The Norton web site doesn't give me any help in getting rid of these, and when the program tries to repair, it can't. Is that because the exe files are in the System folder? I'm not a tekkie- so does anyone know of simple way to get rid of these? I can follow directions, but not if it's going to tell me some computer lingo that is technical.

Our computer was infected with a Trojan.Vundo virus. Symantec virus scan identified this virus and during a typical full system scan supposedly removed the virus. However, we continued to receive a popup message from the Symantec system saying a Trojan.Vundo virus was detected and has been removed.

After repeatedly getting this message, we went to the Symantec website and found a Trojan.Vundo removal tool. We downloaded the tool and ran it per the instructions. The tool said it removed the virus. Unfortunately, after a while the same Symantec message popped up saying a Trojan.Vundo virus was detected and has been removed.

We then went to the Symantec website and found the instructions for manual removal of the Trojan.Vundo virus. We followed the instructions, which included disable system restore, update virus definitions, restart the computer in safe mode, scan for and delete the infected files and reverse changes made to the registry using the regedit command. We did all of these items, although the items we were told to look for in the registry did not exist.

After about three days with no indication of the virus, the same Symantec message popped up saying a Trojan.Vundo virus was detected and has been removed.

Technicians at a local Compusa suggested the only way to delete the virus may be to do a full system restore. We are looking for suggestions on how to delete this virus permanently from our computer without having to do a full system restore and losing all of our programs and data.

I asked a question about serious invasion of spyware virus on my PC. I am so sorry to say that I did not receive a serious answer to my querry so far. Every body has suggested to download some free spyware program from the net. The problem is that the virus is very intelligent. This virus knows all about all such sites and does not allow any of these sites to be accessed. PLEASEEE HELPPP MEEE
