I'm normally pretty good with computers, I just cant figure out how to get rid of these infected files when the scanner can't.

my os is XP-pro

I have scanned my system with Spybot Search and destroy, and AVG anti-virus fully updated, and it seems clean.

But I cant figure why the files .\dialer.exe; .\accessories\wordpad.exe and .\pinball\pinball.exe are instantly re-created when I delete them.

My windows installation is brand new (although it is from a backup cd, as my original was destroyed when my office caught fire last year (my 3.y.o daughter was killed in the same occasion))

If one of your friends was a hacker... do you think it ok for them to hack into your system to the point where they can see who you are chatting with and even on private dating sites not only know who you are chatting with but then later send them emails telling them not to date you. What whould you call a ..friend like that????

To clarify: My home wireless network is secured using WPA. With this setup, is regular HTTP traffic easily intercepted by people outside of the network (for example, in the house next door)? If I enter a password on a website without SSL, can the password be easily sniffed out?

PS. Please no responses like, "nothing is ever secure" or "anything can be hacked". I realize that a knowledgeable hacker can gain access to anything. My question however asks is it EASILY compromised.
