You should look for tell tale hack signs.. like bloody gashes, broken skin, painful groaning.. those type of things.

It is not hacked if you give out your password to your friends.

No one needs to know your password, You could make another account and used another new password and do not give it to anybody including friends.

just like everything else. check your sent mail and see if something was sent that you didn't send, check all options and settings, check deleted and received mail for unusual things and change your password regularly.
