1.If this problem occured after install a new software or uninstall,press ctrl+alt+esc now see your task manager,which exe get maximum cpu time,stop that exe,now log off the pc,
2.when you login your system some large exe's are start automatically,this exe are take maximum time to close when you log off,so the logoff take some time,if you close these exeis your processor time will improved,these exe are using the maximum cpu time,so these problem occure.

To go to the bios keep pressing delete option after restart for some seconds

Have u got your screen saver set to "on resume, password protect", if so unselect it.

right click on the desktop, select properties, then click the screen saver tab to have a look.

It could be many reasons, the first I would try is seeing if your pc is infected with a virus.
