Computer viruses are not accidents and cannot create themselves. It
takes a human being to create a computer virus. These people
deliberately create a program that when unleashed on an unsuspecting
computer or networking system will either play a prank or possibly
render the computer useless. Now that we know that for a computer virus
to exist, someone had to have created it, let’s explore the “why”. Why
do people create computer viruses?

-Computer viruses are created for a number of reasons and by a number of
different types of people:

-Viruses may be created by the computer programming student who, as an
assignment, has to create and then combat a virus of his own making.

-They may be created by the “scam artist” as a way to hijack the
installed web browser and force it to open up web pages of it’s
choosing.

-Viruses have been written as research projects with an aim towards
stopping similar viruses.

-They may be created by the activist who is attacking a certain company
or type of company, whether exploiting a computer company’s software to
give them a bad name or to further a social cause.

-They may be created by the prankster who is just trying to play a joke
on someone and inadvertently causes major trouble.

-Some virus writers even consider their creations to be almost works of
art amongst their peers, showing them off on “underground” message
boards.

-And they of course are created for personal and financial gain using
identity theft among other strategies.

-There are the rare instances of “good viruses” being written and
spread. Their goal is usually to track down other computer viruses and
monitor or delete them. Usually these are not truly “good viruses”
anyway as they still consume system resources and can be altered into
“bad viruses” fairly easy.

Enjoy!!

I have found out that some antiviruses companies make their own viruses.
Why? Because they want to make money. And how would they make money? Simple, because people buy antiviruses to get rid of viruses.

So i'm not saing that all antiviruses companies make viruses, only some of them.
I think that the most efective antivirus is Norton, I have it and it has kept my computer clean for more than 2 years!

I hope i gave you some of the info you wanted, and i hope you keep your computer clean, too.
Good bye.

i do no longer think of Microsoft do yet I heard that some antivirus companies (rumours purely) advance some viruses(or malware/secret agent ware) themselves alongside with the skill to discover and do away with them and then declare that they are the only antivirus application it relatively is able to detecting and removing them. of course it is purely a remember of time till now the different antivirus companies are in a position to do away with those viruses however the needed result has been gained with tips from then. they have have been given the better hand a minimum of advertising clever. in all threat even some greater effective subscriptions that they could no longer have have been given otherwise. purely rumours, i do no longer think of certainly all and sundry is familiar with for particular if it is real

"Viruses have been written as research projects, pranks, vandalism, to attack the products of specific companies, to distribute political messages, and financial gain from identity theft, spyware, and cryptoviral extortion. Some virus writers consider their creations to be works of art, and see virus writing as a creative hobby".

For the same reason people break windows, do graffiti, and destroy public property. They want attention, are frustrate, and think it gives them a sense of power to destroy. Just as we have vandals in the real world we have them in the virtual world. It is harder to create beauty than it is to create ugliness, and so the lazy go for the easy route.

It's all about making money. Perhaps Eugene Kaspersky, founder of anti-virus maker Kaspersky Labs said it best, " It's a different world today. 10 years ago, we were fighting against smart kids who hacked as a hobby. Now, we're dealing with criminal gangs that control your computer to make money. Different world, different protections."

This form of vandalism is to get themselves noticed and gain recognition from their peers - possibly even a job offer, but this might be that urban myth thing again
