Is it good or bad to have spyware in your computer? Can ad-aware remove all of the stuff people put into your to track your actions? Can that really even be done? I heard that if you open an e-mail that has been "infected" then that leaves somebody from a remote area to track what you do on the computer?

I have installed the AVG antivirus and the AVG anti-spyware... I was told that they were good antivirus software... Is there anything else that I need to keep my computer protected? My desktop is a single terminus with different user accounts. I have learnt how to allow or deny access to files and folders for different users. But I have no clue as to how do I restrict access to programs themselves ?

Example: I want deny access to Control Panel for other users. How do I make it possible ?
