what is the difference between blocking and deleting on my aol spyware? it alerts me that i have spyware and it gives me the option to block. when i block it, it gives me the option to delete. what does each function do?

"Block" prevents the instruction in the spyware key from executing.

"Delete" will remove the malicious key from your registry altogether .

This is a precautionary measure because sometimes a benign program may behave like spyware & it would be a mistake to delete the instruction.

The AOL spyware is incapable of making that distinction so it asks for your input on the matter.

I don't use AOL, but first you should block the spyware from hitting you again, then delete it (you said it was found on your computer). That will take it off your computer. Block is to keep it from hitting you next time.
