Hi everybody I have a ? so if you can answer it please do.My ? question is that i don't know what to go when i try to open a program(QuickTime)something pops up(not a pop-up) that says OPEN WITH and then under that there is a list of programs.How can i stop this?(THIS IS STOPPING ME FROM OPENING QUICKTIME!!!!!!)

This question is for the computer saavy. I have been using one of the download programs to download songs. One day it was working just fine, but all of a sudden, the firewall kicked in and stopped it. How can I circumvent the firewall and continue my project?

Boss now that I have my Wi-Fi network working I would like to know how to keep it secure. I know that I have to enable WEP encryption. But how enable /setup? I'm running WinXP as a "server" (with a D-Link G604T wireless router/modem)), and 1 Winxp clients with linksys wireless-G usb network adapter . ple help me thk .

The trojan is designed by a disreputable company that places the trojan on your system and then it directs you to theie website forcing you to by their shonky tool to remove it.

It comes via a program called "Ultimate Cleaner" which is disguised as a system cleaning tool available for download off the net.

The are the lowest of the low lifes and I hope the authorities catch up with them soon. I know I am making every effort to track them down and will happily assist others who may be doing the same.

I sincerely hope the authorities catch these people first ..for there own protection and the protection of their families.

This virus is really doing nothing more than be a nuisance but I would still like to get rid of it.

I have tried all of the leading spyware tools and they cant get rid of it . Any help greatfully recieved.

A friend of mine lost his password for his XP log in. Since he can't get into his computer he asked me to ask you guys if there is a main password or anyways to get back under his name. He is also the Adminastrater.

I don't know what exactly caused the virus. I have dial up service through AOL. I don't want to pay an arm and a leg to get it fixed. I do all of my banking online so I need to get it fixed right away.

Yesterday I downloaded 'spy-ware terminator' to scan my notebook for viruses and other malicious items. It found several and deleted them. It also found a '...WINNT\system32\config\soft... item which it wanted to remove but couldn’t. So I searched for it and tried deleting myself but because of some 'sharing violation/prg in use' notification i failed. Spywareterminator tried removing it itself but again was unsuccessful. The last message i got was "stop the process: SPYWARETERMINATOR" and it instructed me and gave me the option to restart the computer. I restarted it, but now the computer does not work- it stalls right at the beginning of the restart procedure where is says "windows is starting up..." and then loops and switches off and restarts again only getting as far as that screen. Why did this happen and, what happened...and what can I do?

I've used my email address for several years with no problem, but just recently I've been receiving spam; around 40 emails a day. I've cranked up the spam controls on my hosting account as much as possible but it has helped only a little.

I have wi-fi Linksys router and Belkin adapter that he installed. On the Network he uses his own name and his own password which I think strange. Also, I have AOL as well and he got rid of it. My Hi-speed internet keeps dropping and is very very slow.

have a virus b/c my trail anti virus scan ran out so scanning isnt a choice. Also do I really have 2 go 2 the store and but an anti-virus program or sercuity program? if so which are the top 3 brands 2 get nad can I download it from the internet?
