That pop up is mostly likely malware and norton isnt picking it up.
All of these are ones that I personally use and all are free.

Spybot - Search & Destroy detects and removes spyware, a relatively new kind of threat not yet covered by common anti-virus applications. Spyware silently tracks your surfing behaviour to create a marketing profile for you that is transmitted without your knowledge to the compilers and sold to advertising companies. If you see new toolbars in your Internet Explorer that you haven't intentionally installed, if your browser crashes inexplicably, or if your home page has been "hijacked" (or changed without your knowledge), your computer is most probably infected with spyware. Even if you don't see the symptoms, your computer may be infected, because more and more spyware is emerging. Spybot-S&D is free, so there's no harm giving it a try to see if something has invaded your computer.

you may find that you did have Norton on the hub but it only had a 15 month license. If that license has expired the you will either need to purchase a new license or get a different firewall.
the firewall from comodo is free and must people report it as very good.

it could be that your norton anti virus you got with bt is a temp. ( 90 day or longer for example) subscription.
there should be something to tell you if this is the case.
an obvious one will to be open norton and see what the subscription date is on the main screen when opened.

I don't like the sound of that. Never click on a pop uip that offers software. If its from Norton then it will say so. OTherwise its spyware and your system is infected.
Before attempting to remove malware you must switch off System Restore as back up files will be hiding in there, and it will just restore itself. Go to Start - programs - accessories - system tools - system restore.
Run your anti virus and anti spyware in Safe Mode. To get into Safe Mode repeatedly press the F8 key after the bios screen loads but before Windows loads. You'll know if you made it because the screen will be at 800 x 600 and your pc will be slow.
You need to install one firewall.
The Windows firewall doesn't stop malware on your pc from dialling out.

the anti-virus that comes with the bt home hub is a on-line scanner and i would strongly advise you against this peice of software
i have dealt with alot of security software and have never found a online scanner that i would trust to protect my computer, for instance,if the server that runs your scanner breaks down or goes off-line you are unprotected and also if you are using service pack 2 it wont recognize any anti-virus software
for a brilliant free security package, try this compilation
1) anti-virus....avast4.7 anti-virus(free)...http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html
2) firewall use the windows firewall or use a excellent fre program "zone-alarm"....http://www.zonelabs.com/store/content/company/products/znalm/freeDownload.jsp
3)anti-spyware....spybot...http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/index.html
adaware personal.....http://www.download.com/Ad-Aware-SE-Personal-Edition/3000-8022_4-10045910.html?part=dl-ad-aware&subj=dl&tag=top5
spyware blaster....http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html
4)online security...a excellent program called "site advisor" from mcafee, which alerts you to bad websites before you visit them 10/10......download from....http://www.siteadvisor.com/
these programs and software are all tried and tested by myself and are thouroughly recommended,i have used this compilation of security software for over 18 months now and have noticed a marked reduction in spyware and viruses, mainly due to mcafee site advisor as this stops me actually going on to the site and catching spyware,it alerts me by either a green tick for okay,a yellow exclamation mark for use caution and a red cross for avoid(spyware and malware reported)
spybot and adaware work well together in guarding against spyware, spybot imunizes your p.c so spyware cant infect your p.c in the 1st place, and adaware is good at cleaning adware, the infection responsible for pop-ups
spyware blaster dosent actually have a scanning feature but it protects your p.c from attack from spyware,it also works with the mozzila firefox browser
finnaly avast 4.7 is in my opinion the best (free and paid-for) anti-virus avalible,i say this as it has done a better job at virus prevention and virus cleaning than any other program i have used, and i have used (norton,mcafee,panda,nod32,a.v.g,e-trust,trend micro,)the lot,
what i like about avast4.7 is 1)installation is quick and easy 2) updates are daily 3)it has 6 real time sheilds including ,internet explore sheild,p2p sheild,e-mail sheild and many more 4) it has downloadable skins, not essential but a nice extra 5) easy to use interface 6) unlike other scanners avast is quite quick doing a scan...20gb of data in around 12 minutes
i hope this information will help you, normally i wouldnt advise anyone this much, but as you are using a bt home hub i thought if this software works for me then it will protect you and if you can help another user with security it productive for you as its one less infected machine on the net
if you have any problems with internet securty, let me know
good luck
