deleted everything I could find. don't know how this 3-day trial got started, but when I enter my mailbox and try to do anything, it pops up, saying my 3-day trial is over. No options to say I don't want it. I've run virus ck and spybot,disc cleanup. nothing shows up. pls remember, I am relatively ignorant on computers(unless it's a materials system) thanks

on my pc i have something called antivirus personal edition which is an antivirus programme(obviously)the problem i have is that a few days ago when i turnt on my computer the little desk top icon in the bottom right,which is an umbrella,would open to indicate that the programme was running,now it stays shut and is constantly off and no matter what i try i cannot start the programme to run again and when i highlight the icon it says not active-is there anyway i can restart this or how do i turn it on again??thank you all very much

we both download movies, music, etc. i don't have anything protecting my computer. i'm kinda careful about opening random links, but other than that don't really care too much. my computer has never had a problem.

my friend knows much more about computers, and has all the firewalls and virus protection, and whatever else you're supposed to have, but his computer has tons of problems.

any explanation for this beyond blind luck?

i sometimes think all the protection programs are actually messing with his computer more than any virus or whatnot. is that possible?

OK this is a real doozie....

A few month's ago dumb silly stupid old mcafee popped up with a little sign saying my system was infected from a trojan. The screen popped down again before I could catch the name of the trojan! Since then everythings been acting funny, and the computer has been rather slow. programs also randomly close down.
It seems like its a smart trojan because whenever I try to use the cleaner on ewido it closes the browser!
I have since installed avg free and Norton and run various scans but they aren't detecting anything.

Can anyone please help?
