Norton is composed with 3 or 4 diverse courses operating concurrently. It does use a good number of memory. yet you may also favor to envision in case you really have a virus to boot. Norton isn't the finest protection accessible and by adventure I have had many misses with Norton. besides the undeniable fact that on the different area: how previous is your computer, How a lot RAM do you've ? in recent times, the sorts of software used and the updates made to the operating structures and hardware take advantage of a good number of memory and a minimum of 512 MB is somewhat sufficient to save up. also, one extremely ordinary issues that maximum clients forget is warmth. in the journey that your computer or computer heats up plenty, it does decelerate your OS quite because of the followers kicking in at a larger price. be confident you undust the fan parts, and save your computer cool. Your DSL service delivers likely McAFee or another variety of Antivirus, that is high-quality besides the undeniable fact that that is going to likely be an similar good commotion: you've gotten to receive it onto your hardrive besides and run it from there. honestly i tried both Softwares and that i replaced into very displeased with their performance (hogs memory, inefective) I recommend you take advantage of Grisoft AVG or ClamAntivirus. upload a firewall like ZoneAlarm as an example and also try to be prepared. of route those are personal alternatives, and it facilitates that they are completely loose to receive and use. additionally they seem to be a lot more effective than the former ones i discussed above.

Fragmented hard disk / partition can be a reason. In addition to defragmenting your hard disk / partition, remove unwanted programs running at the background. Goto Start->Run, type msconfig and select startup and uncheck the unwanted programs.

You need more memories.
OR
You should take some files out. Just clean up and defragmenting can help.
When you down load certain file they stay on your the computer hidden as cache, they need to be removed manually or by a program(careful may lose some important stuff).
You can compress some files also.

Try Defragmentation (sp?).
Start; Run; Type in DEFRAG and hit enter; Click Defragment
If it dosn't work:
You may need more RAM. Try the 3GB its so fast.
You may need a new Hard drive with more RPMS
Try deleting or removing junk you dont need (like TRY AOL things)
