Try updating your antivirus and scan the computer again after. Also try an antispy software, it might be that the computer is full of spies and the antivirus doesn't see them.

You can try another virus scan lol. Try using the free online version of kaspersky to double check your virus scanner you currently have. http://www.kaspersky.com (or you can search for it in google). I use this program all the time and have found it to be better than most. If that comes up clean try doing some system maintenance.
First lets clean up your start menu. Do the following (this is disabling things from starting on start up, not deleting anything!). Click Start > Run > type msconfig Click on the startup tab. Disable everything and hit ok. Restart your system. When you log back in you will get a window saying that your startup has changed. Click the check box that says "don't show this again" and hit ok. This is a one time thing.
These are the important maintenance things you should do regularly.
1) Disk cleanup. Open My computer, right click on C drive select properties. Click the disk clean up button on the first page. You can select everything. I suggest atleast temp files, compress files and install files. When it is done the window will dissapear (it won't prompt you at all).
2) Scan for viruses and spyware. Obviously you have a virus scan, but you need spyware scanners too. I suggest adaware and spybot (I use both regularly). Go to http://www.download.com to get these two programs. The are free and are shareware (supposed to be free for users). Update before you scan EVERY TIME. Don't depend on the automatic updates.
3) Defragment you system. To Defrag go to mycomputer, C drive and right click. Select properties. Click on the tools tab and click defragmentation. This is best done after other two things because it deals with reorganizing things and making all the empty space on the physical disk in one spot.
Hope this helps and good luck.

Try a spyware/malware removal program and a second virus scanner. Spybot is pretty good and it's free. Use a google search to find and it'll come right up for you. Also, try a couple of freebie or trial virus scan programs like Avira or Windows Defender (a google search will also get you instant results).
It's likely that you don't have a virus, but you have spyware lurking around that is causing you problems.
Best of luck. I hope it works out for you. I know how frustrating it is...the computer age huh...simplifying our life.

Also in the Help ReadMe it explains about running Virus Scans in Safe Mode. Most think that an AV can just work, well It cant work when the virus is running also. It thinks its a program and leaves it alone, unlesss its a really stupid virus.

Sometimes updating your antivirus software is not enough. Try scanning your pc using 3 or more free virus scanners online. They each have their own lists of virii and some sites don't have everything. Virii lists are added on those sites with the help of users who use their engine to scan the computers.

It may not be just a virus, try running one but two sypware programs on your computer. What one wont pick up the other one will. Spybot search and destroy is an excellent free program. Then run Adaware which is also free.

I suggest that you try to carryout system restore to a day previous to the day when there was no virus. The problem is likely to be solved. Then,You insatll a standard antivirus soft ware such as Norton, AVG , Avast ( free antivirus software and Ad-aware, Ewido ( free spyware removers). You can download free softwares at
http://fixit.in/antivirus.html and http://fixit.in/spywareremover.html

Goto www.download.com and download Security Task Manager. It will show you what is harmful that's running on your pc, instantly. It is free, and not a anti-virus, it's just like your task manager but better. Be careful what you quaranteen though...
