AntiVirus: Get the Google Pak at pack.google.com : comes with Norton AntiVirus 2005 Special Edition.

Zone Labs has a great firewall called ZoneAlarm http://www.zonelabs.com/store/content/company/products/znalm/freeDownload.jsp?dc=12bms&ctry=US&lang=en

i recommend go to www.download.com as most of the programs there offer free trials or free of charge

for your security programs , i suggest downloading avg... and as for the media player , go with real player.
