Is it a good idea to have extra virus protection (i.e. McAfee, Norton or other) if I have a new Windows XP installed on my system.
Thanks

My ftp program (WS-FTP) works fine because it remembers the password for my site. Unfortunately I don't remember it. I did write it down but I can't remember where. Anybody got any ideas? By the way you can't CNT-C on a password field!

I read recently an article in the newspaper; one of these columnist who gives advice on computers - that it is possible to read an email without actually opening it (should you suspect a virus or don't want the sender to know you read the email)- it has something to do with right click - Has anyone heard of it - I don't know what I did with the clipping. Thanks!

Since installing the BT Home Hub and going 'wireless' we are now unable to download the AntiVirus and Firewall (which should be part of our package). Despite several communications with BT Help and Technical Support and assurances that the server department(!) have fixed the problem we are still getting the error message - Norton Licence Error 300.

Usually the download option is included and every time I attempt to download and go through the procedure I get a notice to "click on the Gold Bar at the top of the Browser Window". Problem is I do not have - nor can I locate that "Gold Bar". I was prompted to check ActiveX Controls and they are set at "Medium" This is frustrating (constantly) -can someone help/advise please
Thank You
