I have multiple anti-spyware programs but only adaware SE by lavasoft and won't download and install the update successfully. What is preventing me from downloading and installing the updates?

Me neither. Maybe Lavasoft is having a problem. Give it a day or so, then try again.

The same happened to me today. Try twice or thrice, the update will be successful. Good Luck! I reckon Lavasoft are having some technical problems.

you probably have to buy the product before u can get updates, or you are running too mant programs at once that do not agree, or your firewall is preventing you from recieving updates. i stand with the buying product theory! why do u people rely and trust this so called free protection anyway? why can't u buy a disk like norton internet security or similar and get free updates from that? these so called free programes are basic protection products. i have tried a few, and found i had loads of virus's etc, but hey presto, if i bought the product for x amount, all my problems would be solved! funny that, i scanned with norton straight after and it found nothing. also did windows defender, it found nothing wrong. did full system scan for everyrthing with norton and guess what it found? yes NOTHING! these free products only offer basic protection. anyway i don't trust any anti-virus software etc you can download off the net. doesn't that defeat the object? who knows what your downloading with it!
