I just dont get it. Spam E-mails...viruses...."click here" WHY?
is it just the fact that people have nothing else to do? And porn...wtf? What ever happened to the computer for information? I know a lot of websights are cracking down on viruses. But try and answer me this

I have been using norton antivus 2005 and yesterday my years subscription ran out. I need to renew it and it says it will cost me £21 for another years worth of updates for 2005 version. Yet I can upgrade to the 2007 version for £30.

Only £9 extra, but is it worth the money?

There have been these chinese website pop-ups appearing whenever i open internet explorer. Its really irritating..n also my laptop is kinda lagging..What is wrong wif my lappy?
Btw i have ad-ware se personal and mcafee, but i dun noe how to use it...

I have Norton INternet Security and Lavasoft Ad.aware. I've done a free scan with SpyDoctor from PCTools but need to buy it for £20 to fix it. Is it worth it? or are there any other free downloads. I want to be able to cover everything possible like popups, hijacks, trojans, viruses etc. Thanks

after that, any link or web page I want to open gives: page can not be displayed error. The computer is infected with some kind of virus. I have to shut down the computer for everything to be normal again for another 5 minutes, then the error comes back again. This is my friend computer and he is a medical profession. He can not lose his data on this computer. Help!!!

There is a host of web urls in my Favorites menu of IE but they do not appear in my Favorites folder. I did not put them there and I cant find a way to delete them. The same urls appear on each users settings. Urls are for online gaming, viagra, and all sorts of other stuff.

Pop-ups started to appear when I opened a virus-scanned mail from a friend. It contained a .gif called "amish" and a message to say that I had downloaded the "amish virus". An internet search revealed that this was just a hoax and Microsoft help said I should delete the mail. Which I have done.

I have disabled all toolbars except for Yahoo. I have run Webroot Spysweeper, Norton System Works and McAfee Adware removal.

If I can locate the file where these urls are maybe the pop-ups will go away but I dont know where it is.

Please can anyone help?!

I'm getting many viruses a day, and the only website I'm on is MySpace. Are other's notices alot of viruses from this site? I am not downloading anything, just checking and sending emails.

when i go to open my site, some nasty little porn sites pop up. not funny since i'm a nice lady who just went through a long divorce battle. so, despite the fact that i'm single once again and once and awhile loneliness sets in . . . I'M NOT VISITING ANY PORN SITES. so . . . how do i get block, get rid of them? when i go to control panel, i see a very long list of xp hot fix(es) . . . a long list.

My computer keeps getting pop ups. A whole bunch of them all day long. I have a Dell computer which I bought in 2004. My husband has tried to find free downloads to help clean my computer and I have used Adware, which isn't working that well.

Any advice on what I can do for free to clean my computer?? I was really wantingto wipe my computer clean and put it back to the way it was when I first bought it.

Anitvirus 2006 couldnt even detected it!
Spyware doctor dectected and deleted it, when ask for restart, lop.com came back again!!
PEst Patrol (same as spyware doctor)
Spybot search and destroy cant even dectect it
Spyware Blaster : useless

help please...., now im getting anoyying pop ups every 2 mins
