And if so, how do I remove it? I suspect that they've been tracking my keystrokes....I want to remain as anonymous as possible. Thanks!

I wouldn't worry as much about a keylogger as a remote viewing program like VNC. There are better ways to catch someone online than a keylogger - I would take a good look at what programs are in my startup menu and in my system tray. You can hide installations in the start menu pretty easily, but the startup utility and the process manager never lies.

Just remember, if they're watching, they'll know you're checking.

Good luck -

a keylogger may be picked up by a virus scan,
but, a hardware keylogger will not be,
it would be between the keyboard, and the computer , ( a small device looks like an extenter on the keyboard plug)

other than that
bring up the task manager,
it will show what programs are running.

however,
when, your parrents discover that you tampered with their key logger, then they may lock out the computer totally,
( I would)

oh, and I think starting in safe mode with networking would stop a keylogger from loading. and still let you use the net,

actualy keyloggers are viruses, so if u run a virus scan u can delete them. and there ia great software called zone alarm if u intall that it will tell u if a keylogger is trying to steal ur info. but any way if u run with a latest virus scanner u can find it.

what kind of sick parents would do that?? that's like the ultimate invasion of privacy! I'm so glad I grew up when the internet was just getting going and parents hadn't developed such paranoia. Sorry I can't help but I was too pissed off not to comment.
