I received an email from secur@gametemple.com with an attachment. Here is the email content:

Mail server report.

Our firewall determined the e-mails containing worm copies are being sent from your computer.

Nowadays it happens from many computers, because this is a new virus type (Network Worms).

Using the new bug in the Windows, these viruses infect the computer unnoticeably.
After the penetrating into the computer the virus harvests all the e-mail addresses and sends the copies of itself to these e-mail
addresses

Please install updates for worm elimination and your computer restoring.

Best regards,

When on the web I may get redirected to another site or my mouse will hit a tab but nothing happens. I have to close out. I hear an occasional 'click' when shutting down or changing sites. Also, unable to close down computer as icons are unresponsive and I have to press and hold the on/off button. I defragged last week and things run a bit faster. Also, can be extremely slow booting up. Tool bar will appear on Yahoo home page and it stops there. I tab "mail" and it will go there. Any suggestions what I should check out before I get it to the Nerds at a repair store?
I have Norton, Symantek, webroot spy sweeper. all report okay

Is it really worth the money or are they really not??
I have had Norton before and they just seem like a waste of my money,to me they always kept popping up and then shutting stuff down when I did not ask it to. Finally I asked our computer guy at work and he said that they are really a waste of money and that they all just try to freak you out bad enough to think you will get a virus so you go out and buy the software...
I have never gotten a virus and then again I never open up any emails that I don't know who they are coming from.

What do you guys think??

Alright, yesterday I went to change my password like I do everymonth because all of the hackers and so forth. Well when I went to long back into my account later my password will not accept. I have tried everything it could be if I did a misprint of what I thought that I typed. Well I tried typing my email address in and have it sent to me and it never has been sent. Then I emailed myspace with my SALUTE and still nothing. I do not understand what is taking so long for a simple response. So are there any other methods to get into my account of another way to get ahold of myspace. I need options. I have a friend that I speak to on there everyday that is in Iraq and so forth. So please help me..........

Pluggable/Programmable Authentication Modules
Examples: pam_stack.so
pam_securetty.so
pam_nologin.so
pam_selinux.so
pam_console.so
pam_access.so
pam_time.so
what is the origin of the .so suffix? what did it or does it stand for?
And if you know, why is pam so complex that the pam.d configuration files call library modules which call other library modules which refer to (usually .conf) configuration files.
Is it related to how PAM was developed? Is there a reason for so many steps? And if you know a more appropriate forum to ask this question, please tell me that, also.

I constantly do a scan check almost daily, I see someone created registries and there are spies, (through Lavasoft) what could it be?
DSL is slower than it should be, is this normal or should I be concerned? I have at&t/yahoo (formerly sbc) I also get a blank page very often when working on emails. Any suggestions? Thanks

I think I do know something about computers but like to learn more (inside/out) what is the best way I can learn this? Going back to School (at 40 plus) or here online with you all. Where I feel the REAL knowledge?

But with all the ever changing or more updated software one can't keep up or constantly go back to school? I like to know more but nothing illegal, just the knowledge that I can always fix myself or come here to asked for help. :)

Suggestions anyone?
