You must not value the investment that you made when you purchased your computer. If you did you would for sure stay out of porn sites, gambling sites as they for sure will infect your entire system will all kinds of nasty trojans that will steal all of your data, passwords. Plus with these nasty type of trojans you will not want to ever purchase anything over the internet, for sure your credt card will be stolen. (Especially if you use PayPal as this site is the hackers delight).
You don't say if you have an antivirus program running. Obvious that if you do it failed to perform the job. The person who told you that American products are no good he is 100% correct becasue they are usually embedded with low grade spyware/adware or some even have trojans.
You can only run one antivirus program, or you will have serious conflict. So if you have one in your system either shut it down or remove the program as it failed you.
Here is an excellent free antivirus program from Europe.

This program is state of the art technoloy. I use it and find it for superior then any other free or purchased. You will also get daily if not twice per day autmoatic updates. Plus it will scan your entire system an also has a background scanner that would have caught your virus if you went into a porno site and destroyed it before it got into your system.
When the virus is destroyed, please reboot your system. This is necessary always after any antispyware or antivirus program finds any malware.
If you want to purchase I use what the Government of China uses. for my primary pc. (Both are the same kind of technology an I never had one virus with either in over nine years).

I bet it is in with pest trap or virus burst. Has a little yellow triangle with a ! in the middle.If so go to this site and download and run scan,It takes over your scanners so they can not pick it up or remove it,It is a virus

ahhh go into what site was it now...not mcfee, ummm norton try them , and look for virus alerts i think they still offer a download for free where you can get rid of that little nasty...and do yourself a favor get a good virus blocker, and not american made either, i learned that they delibertly infect the computer with a low stage virus so that you have to use thier system to get rid of it..........i got the cream of the crop from germany and i havent had one virus yet it didnt get...

that is not a virus. it is adware. since you didnt tellus which one it is then all i can do is show you a possible way to remove it.
below replace "adwarename" with the name of the adware site that keeps popping up.
type this into google
remove adwarename
