I think I do know something about computers but like to learn more (inside/out) what is the best way I can learn this? Going back to School (at 40 plus) or here online with you all. Where I feel the REAL knowledge?

But with all the ever changing or more updated software one can't keep up or constantly go back to school? I like to know more but nothing illegal, just the knowledge that I can always fix myself or come here to asked for help. :)

Suggestions anyone?

good question. I would find a person either in real life or on line that is willing to help you learn about what you are interested in. if you have questions you could email jayw_4u@yahoo and I may be able to answer them. I have been in computer programming and hardware repair for over 10 years.

in general my answer would be find a mentor. who can help you find your answers.

I bought my Computer in 02 and had never turned one on in my life.I knew nothing about chat, email, images, surfing, nothing at all.But i sat in front of it and worked on it and when i had problems i called tech support and remembered or wrote down what they told me to do to fix a problem,Now i know allot look at my best answers. It is just learning and working with your PC and then you can have people hit you and ask you for help.Good luck in what ever you choose to do

There are many computer help forums on line. They are very helpful. Take a look inside your computer it's pretty basic.

You will learn with experience. I don't think school is for you.
