Security - June 2006

Ok, I have Avast and it has been warning me when a virus is on my computor. One of them was named, Win32 Trogan 1165. At the same time I am having multiple windows opening up. I have both Internet Explorer and Firefox, but have been using firefox for some time now. I am able to get rid of the virus by moving it to the chest in Avast and then deleting it but another one then comes back later. I don't have money to spend to get rid of this. I need something FREE. Please Help!!!!

1. Can voice mails in chat be infected with viruses? Someone anonymous sent me one while i was in chat

2. Can someone infect a room with a virus? My chat friend told me xbox: 1 room has a virus in it. I'm not going there til it's safe???

I had to reinstall my Windows ME to gain back my System Restore. Now the system is back to IE 5. How can I get a complete installation of the IE6 reinstalled on my PC. I tried removing all old files but the installation skips from 4% installed to 85% and message says, not all components could be installed. I know it can be done, since I had it before.

i employ almost 40 people in my compony but i believe som e are not even doing their work but spend the whole day on the internet but i have no proof, does anyone know any good software i can use to spy on what they are doing all the time so that i can have evidence before i sack some of them?? I use trend micro pc-cillin and it has got rid of several trojans but 5 of them are hiding in files,and although my security has given me the location of them,my searches show no results.I have tried hidden files etc,but nothing.here is an example--ADW CMDDSKTOP.A--this one is in--c:\Windows\VXNlcg\asappsrv.dll----Is there a program to help look at files, or another way i can search for them??I think some of these are in system files,so i can probably do some harm here,but i have to get rid of them and i own all of my software so i should be able to reinstall windows and office again to start again shouldnt i??--any help please.-ps. has my print got bigger,or is this the new look for answers?

What option do you think is better?

I was wondering if WAP is better for wireless security because I heard WEP got cracked and now I thought I heard now theres certain software that can crack WEP. Should I use WAP or WEP?

and if WAP should I use a over 30 chracter password for WAP?
