I had to reinstall my Windows ME to gain back my System Restore. Now the system is back to IE 5. How can I get a complete installation of the IE6 reinstalled on my PC. I tried removing all old files but the installation skips from 4% installed to 85% and message says, not all components could be installed. I know it can be done, since I had it before.

It should be a simple matter of locating the IE5 folder and deleting everything within it - however, I don't believe you need to go to this extreme as over writing it with IE6 should clean out any of the old files
