In last steps of online registeration a message is coming up that " We are sorry, but it appears that you are in a location that we can't help because of US exports laws" or something like that.
I'm really confused how it can determine my real location. Of course I have used IP-hiding programs, without any benefit...

okay...my ex boyfriend got jealous that a guy friend has been emailing me...so just to spite me, he decided to change the password (the one you have to type in whenever you log into your administrator settings on windows xp)...he works in the IT dept. at a school...so he's good with computers. but i know there is a way to reset it...quite simple...does anyone know how??? i cant do anything on my computer until i reset it...and i need it. and for the record, i am on my friends internet right now! haha please help!

its the password that you have to type in if your computer has been shut down and you're trying to log onto windows!

The subject of the message from "me" (which I didn't send) was "445." The message was "5556." That's it. I checked my sent mail, and the message was there, so this was somehow done using my account. And when I responded, it went right back to me, so it was clearly my address.

I attempted to duplicate the message by sending a new one to myself, but there were differences. In the original message, the From line was my user name. But in the message I wrote, the From line was my real full name.

Another difference: the original message (which I didn't write) went through more servers than the one I wrote. An excerpt:

"Received: from grnavata.com (pool-138-88-106-95.res.east.v... [138.88.106.95])
by mx.gmail.com with SMTP id 25si305004wra.2006.06.06.10.54...
Tue, 06 Jun 2006 10:54:30 -0700 (PDT)
Received-SPF: neutral (gmail.com: 138.88.106.95 is neither permitted nor denied by domain of [myemail]@gmail.com)"

But nothing else was disturbed. Prank? Hack? Virus? Spam?

Was chatting with a girl from the UK (supposedly) and we had a normal conversatin for a bit. Then she said she was a model and needed help getting a check cashed from her american agent since she was new to the UK and going to school. She had her agent send me a 6000 dollar check to cash. It is a legitiment looking check! I am guessing she scamed his account number somehow and printed up a check and wants me to cash it and send her the funds. She says she'll give me a cut to cash it for her. Anyone seen this one? How can i bust her if this is a scam? The check came from a Canadian source drawn on an american bank but she's from the UK...lol.

the reason I am asking this is my friend isn't signed on and his yahoo smiley is lit up beside his screen name. Also under primary information is shows the word messenger with a smiley beside it. It tells you that you can instant messenge him. He isn't even signed on to his computer. Thanks for any information you can provide. Liz :)
