Press the escape key.
If that doesn't work you can try reinstalling the OS (win xp).
If that doesn't work you can have a professional work on it but if it's stolen that's a bad idea.
Last resort, replace the hard drive and/or motherboard.
Really need to know what the make and model is in order to help you...

If you can't get into CMOS, you could press F8 during startup to get a Boot Menu (Or F6, F9, F10, F11, F12, etc. it varies from BIOS to BIOS). Change the boot order to make CDROM boot first. Put the Windows XP CD in and let it restart. Your CD should take over and do a reinstall. I would suggest doing "delete partition" then "create partition". It will format then reinstall for you :)

you're waiting to do it your self. i visit assume you're on a living house windows OS... in case you're using XP, you may commence it in risk-free mode, and login under the account "Administrator", see you later as you have in no way set the password for that account. From there, you may reset your password. in case you're taking it to a save they'll little question be waiting to get into it, in spite of the undeniable fact that it is going to fee you...

OK, My husband says:
Go to:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/305478/
It should tell you how to do it. You will need an A floppy drive. Because you make a floppy from there and it will allow you to get the password and in a couple of days they will send it to you in the email.. Good luck. God Bless {:-)

there ios a secutity chip on the motherboard, you have to guess it, or call the manufaturer, tell them the problem, and maybe they will give you a backdoor password for it. You can search on the web for backdoor passwords for them, and sometimes find teh one you need, there is no way to clear it
