They do different jobs, so yes - a very good idea to have them working together!

Zonealarm is a firewall which stops unwanted things having access to your PC - virtually makes it invisible to hackers. AVG is antivirus which stops viruses and worms &c from getting into your PC. Zonealarm isn't designed to deal with viruses: it guards the gates, if you like, while viruses can come in riding on your emails and downloads (which you tell Zonealarm to allow as a rule because you normally want emails and downloads).

You should also use Spybot Search & Destroy (http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/), Adaware ( http://www.lavasoft.de/support/download/ )and Windows Defender (Beta) ( http://www.microsoft.com/athome/security/spyware/software/default.mspx ) to protect you against spyware and malware which neither AVG or Zonealarm deal with fully.

zone alarm is a firewall program and avg is antivirus they work fine together but i would reccommend going to etrust.com and getting things from there

Yes,, I downloaded both for 3 years now and they worked good together,, however AVG one or two times for unknown reason failed to load when windows start and I had to uninstall it and install it again and update it again of courese ( does not matter to me as I had DSL)

Go here and download Cyberhawk and use it with AVG and you Anti-Spy program. I use it and it works great.

Download windows defender too and spybot. Also download lavasoft.

Yeah, i think it should be fine it's just extra protection against viruses and spyware.

use zone alarm alone.... really effective.........
